Engineer Rotating Parts You will be the team´s expert for rotating systems including eccentric elements, belt transmissions, bearings, gears and shafts. Your main focus will be on light compaction machinery but you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other R&D teams globally. You provide ingenious and robust engineering solutions in all phases of the product development cycle.
You will be part of a global team of engineers representing mechatronics, mechanical, noise and vibration, testing and verification engineering competencies. You report functionally to the Engineering Manager
Your Responsibilities
- Concept development and final engineering design of rotating systems throughout the entire product lifecycle which meet the product requirements
- Prototyping and verification of your design.
- Support manufacturing and supply quality engineering during industrialization of your design
- Proactively contribute to technology and innovation roadmaps
- Coach and develop your fellow engineers in the area of rotating parts
Your Technical Skills
- Relevant experience from engineering of rotating parts towards attributes such as load capacity, rpm, fatigue, noise, vibration, cooling and lubrication.
- Experience in design of belt driven mechanisms with moving parts and guiding systems.
- You are trained in structured engineering processes such as concept development, iterative design, platform and module engineering, 6sigma, value engineering, etc.
- You are proficient in GD&T and balance tolerancing to meet both product function and manufacturing requirements
- You collaborate successfully with CAE teams around topics such as structural dynamics, stresses, fatigue and vibration damping
- Experienced user of Catia V5 and related PDM systems
- MSc, BSc in engineering and >5 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in English both written and verbal
