3DEXPERIENCE is the latest engineering and business management and development platform for Dassault Systemes. 3DEXPERIENCE was created to look at project organization, control of finances and information, and maintain an efficient use of the company's resources. The 3DEXPERIENCE modular architecture enables it to integrate all Dassault Systemes CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, SIMULIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA products into a single platform, as they upgrade 3DEXPERIENCE in the form of applications such as mobile applications.
Key Features of 3DEXPERIENCE
3DEXPERIENCE provides centralized storage and controlled management of information, as well as regulated access to it for all project participants - designers, technologists, economists, or project managers. The platform provides a wide range of tools for assigning and tracking tasks, deadlines, responsible persons, as well as accurate financial information on the costs of completing individual tasks. All this allows for precise control over the development of the project in terms of the fulfillment of the individual sub-tasks, with full monitoring of the financial parameters and the set deadlines. 3DEXPERIENCE helps the project manager make decisions, and participants get the information they need easily. This leads to a tremendous improvement in the synchronization of work of the project team, with full traceability of the activities of individual participants. The platform offers preconfigured product configurations and upgrades typical of an industrial sector, called "Industrial Worlds". These configurations have been created based on the experience of users for over 30 years, as well as best practices.
Functionality
1. Use in cloud space:
Many companies use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform as a cloud application. The advantages are: simplified administration, reduced maintenance costs, no hardware costs, and last but not least qualified support from Dassault Systemes specialists;
2. Teamwork support:
3DEXPERIENCE aims to create a single enterprise-wide information database. The information about the products, the technologies for their production, the necessary equipment and machines, as well as the complete service documentation and customer information are summarized in a single information system and accessible through authorization to the project participants. In 3DEXPERIENCE, it is possible to create online sessions between different users working in remote offices that communicate in real time on the platform. This reduces the need to create a large number of new versions of individual documents, facilitates the approval process, and allows for more accurate communication between individual project participants;
3. Project management:
3DEXPERIENCE enables the creation of project timelines (Gantt), setting and tracking deadlines for implementation, tracking the status of subtasks, expiration information, and preparing financial analyzes, statistics and financial planning;
4. Managing the Product Resource Structure (Bill of Material)
3DEXPERIENCE's specialized features ensure that the attributes of the Resource Structure are consistent with those of the 3D models and drawings in the CAD system, correspondence between the Resource Structure and the ERP system, facilitate playback of configurations and variants, and store all product configurations produced.
5. Creating Workflows
3DEXPERIENCE has workflows. This allows compliance with ISO 9000 approval procedures on a predefined route and reduces the written documentation by using an electronic signature;
6. Managing different types of CAD formats
3DEXPERIENCE has integrations with all common CAD systems (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Unigraphics, ProEngineer, AutoCAD, Inventor). It is possible to jointly develop an assembled unit with different CAD formats;
7. Integration with ERP systems
3DEXPERIENCE enables integration with ERP systems, allowing data transfer in both directions based on standardized file formats such as XML.
